WHAT WE DO:
Occupational Therapy (OT) is a specialised form of therapy that helps:

-
Individuals improve physical abilities.
-
Regain independence in daily activities.
-
It addresses a wide range of physical conditions, injuries, or disabilities that affect mobility, strength, coordination, and overall physical function.
-
Cognitive functioning, helping individuals improve cognitive abilities and skills for daily activities. It assesses strengths and weaknesses and uses therapeutic activities, exercises, and strategies to improve attention, memory, problem-solving, and decision-making. Techniques include cognitive retraining exercises, memory aids, and environmental modifications.
-
OT involves personalised treatment plans with exercises, stretches, and activities to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance.
-
Therapists may use techniques like manual therapy and assistive devices (such as wheelchair seating, devices needed for activities of daily living).
-
Through assessments, personalised plans, and ongoing support, cognitive OT empowers individuals to overcome challenges and improve their quality of life.

AIM TO EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS
TWO GOALS of physical and cognitive therapy:
-
The goal is to enhance everyday tasks, mobility, and reduce pain, allowing individuals to participate fully in personal, social, and professional lives.
-
The goal is to enhance cognitive abilities for better daily functioning, work, and social interactions. Cognitive OT is provided in various settings and involves collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
We are used in hospitals, rehab centers, clinics, and home visits for various conditions like surgeries, accidents, brain injuries, stroke, amputations and musculoskeletal disorders.
